Confront with situation of lots of spams, in the afternoon of May 11, 2017, presided by Ministry of Information and Media, 5 networks including Viettel, Vinaphone, Mobifone, Vietnamobile and GTel had signed a commitment of preventing spams which shall be applied from July 1, 2017. The networks shall associated to prevent spams on inter-network, on telecommunication system all country. Before, spam was just prevented in internal network.

At the commitment, Deputy Minister of Information and Media Ministry Pham Tam said that: “Prevent spam should be considered as quality of service, evaluation of customers. This is the important criteria to evaluate quality of network and that shall be announced on website for customer to supervise...”
