Content: On May 20, at the Presidential Palace, President Tran Dai Quang met Chinese Trade Minister Chung Son. Speaking at the meeting, President Tran Dai Quang highly appreciated the positive development of the comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between Vietnam and China in recent years, especially cooperation of economy, trade and investment.

China continues to be Vietnam's largest trading partner and Vietnam has become China's largest trading partner in ASEAN. The President expressed that Viet Nam appreciates importance of expanding and enhancing the effectiveness of economic, trade and investment cooperation with China, thereby contributing to the comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between Vietnam and China to bring practical benefits to the people of two countries. At the same time, the President highly appreciated China's support and co-operation in the APEC Year 2017; It is proposed that two sides continue to work closely to contribute to APEC cooperation to 2020 with a vision for the future.

Trade Minister Chung Son sent the greetings of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to President Tran Dai Quang. He affirmed that China highly appreciates great importance of the development of comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between China and Vietnam and it shall develop more and more steadily.

Trade Minister Chung Son affirmed that China and Vietnam have much potential to expand cooperation in the fields of economics, trade and investment. China welcomes Vietnamese businesses to invest in China. The Chinese government has also encouraged Chinese businesses to invest in Vietnam and increased cooperation with Vietnamese partners in high technology.
