In the morning of May 14, 2017, belt and road forum for International Cooperation had opened in Beijing capital, China with theme “One belt and one road - cooperation for prosperity”. Participants are leaders and government of 29 nations, 1,500 guests from 130 nations and leaders of organizations as United Nations, International Monetary Fund and World Bank. President Tran Dai Quang was the leader of Vietnam delegation with some of departments. At the forum, round-table and summit conference for ministers, enterprises and scholars has occured. Representatives focused on measures to promote the connection of Asian - European - African Economy through traffic network and infrastructure of 5 fields such as: policy, infrastructure, currency and people.

Receiving the General secretary and President of China Tap Can Binh’s invitation, from May 11 to 15, 2017, President Tran Dai Quang and his wife shall visit China and attend the international cooperation forum “one belt, one road” held in Beijing, China. On May 10th, at presidency palace, President Tran Dai Quang had an interview with Chinese reporters.

President Tran Dai Quang assumed that Vietnam and China need to widen and improve quality and effect and to change strongly cooperating fields. President told that in the visit, he and General Secretary - President and leaders of party and government of China exchanged direction and methods to strengthen the trust and relationship between Vietnam - China and to promote the partner of cooperation of two countries.

Professor Nguyen Mai, Chairman of Foreign Investment Association affirmed that “FDI is the best motivation in 30 innovating years” in the interview of Customs Paper.

FDI Capital is very important and is the big source of revenue for government’s budget. In the future, the number of capital is much bigger as projects of FDI enterprises are put in operation. For industry, 50% of value of industry product is from FDI enterprises currently. In export, export turnover of FDI is 70% and always export surplus. In first 3 months of 2017, FDI exported nearly USD 6,5 billion. FDI contributes in creating main industries that are indispensable in industrialization in Vietnam.

Currently, there are 23.000 FDI enterprises over the country with 4 million of job and that contributes to government’s budget, some of them affected environment but not majority. Moreover, polluted environment is caused by not FDI enterprises only, but also domestic enterprises, including state-owned companies and private companies. Therefore, problems should be solved overall and thoroughly. In past 30 years of attracting FDI, beside the difficulties, in general, FDI is the greatest motivation in Vietnam market.

Industrial parks where attracting FDI investors created a large number of jobs for laborer, reduces unemployment, improves their lifestyle and develops the socio-economic in local area. 

Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a sigining of commitmnet on “To make advantages for business”. Participants are Deputy of Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue and leaders of 32 provinces and cities including 13 provinces of southwest area, 5 provinces of southeast area and 14 provinces of middle and western highlands area and representatives of enterprises.

At the signing, Deputy of Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue - Head of steering committee Central Innovation and Development of business expressed: “The event is very meaningful for the relationship between Government and enterprises because Government cannot creat job for people”. He also said that after signing, it needs to be developed, not only kept in the table. Dialogue with business is to solve problems on reduction and exemption of tax. Regulation of dialogue “win-win” is applied, both sides mutually have benefits for improving productivity,

competitive capacity and national brand name value. He requested all provinces and cities to establish hot lines, question and answer online on electronic information port for receiving problems and giving solutions.
