At the meeting, Mr. Weng Ming Zhao – Chairman of the Members’ Council of Long Jiang Company – presented a brief report on the development process of Long Jiang Industrial Park. Up to now, Long Jiang Industrial Park has attracted 63 investment projects, with a total leased area of 343.86 hectares, reaching 87.2% of the total industrial land area. The total investment capital of enterprises in industrial park is approximately USD 2 billion. Investors come from various countries, including Vietnam, China, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Japan, South Korea, etc. Many enterprises in Long Jiang Industrial Park have continued and are continuing to expand their investment projects into phases 2, 3, and 4. The total number of employees working in the industrial park exceeds 35,298 people, and contributions to the state budget are estimated at VND 504 billion. At the same time, under the 2026 plan, Long Jiang Company will continue to strengthen investment promotion for fulfilling the industrial park. The company will further invest in infrastructure development, improve utility and support services for investors, promote production and business activities, and strive to develop Long Jiang Industrial Park into a model industrial park, thereby creating more jobs for workers.
Based on the reports, Mr. Phan Van Thang highly appreciated the production and business performance of enterprises in Long Jiang Industrial Park, which have made positive contributions to the province’s socio-economic growth. At the same time, he acknowledged the difficulties and proposals raised by the enterprises and directed relevant departments to resolve them. Provincial leaders will create the most favorable conditions for enterprises in the province to operate effectively and efficiently, reaffirming to accompany and support enterprises in overcoming difficulties.
On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders and the delegation, Mr. Phan Van Thang gave a gift to Long Jiang IPD. At the same time, he wished Long Jiang IPD as well as other enterprises in IP more and more developed and effectively.

Representing the provincial leadership were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu – Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Nhat Truong – Head of the Dong Thap Provincial Economic Zone Authority.
Representing the enterprises: Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Dung – Deputy General Director of Long Jiang Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., with representatives of industrial park and economic zone investors in the province, and enterprises in the area.

The meeting

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu said that in 2025, the province successfully fulfilled most of the socio-economic targets. Dong Thap Province ranked second in the Mekong Delta region in terms of economic growth. In 2025, industrial parks and economic zones attracted 10 investment projects (including 7 FDI projects and 3 domestic investment projects), and approved capital increases for 29 project adjustments. Up to now, the industrial parks have attracted a total of 187 projects with investment capital of over VND 87,295 billion. The total leased land area has reached 754.79 hectares, corresponding to an occupancy rate of 94.37%

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Dung – Deputy General Director of Long Jiang Company – said that so far, Long Jiang Industrial Park has attracted 63 investment projects, with a total leased area of 343.86 hectares, reaching 87.2% of the total industrial land area. The total workforce of the industrial park exceeds 35,298 employees. In 2025, enterprises in Long Jiang Industrial Park actively contributed to the province’s industrial production value and state budget revenues.

Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu, emphasized that in recent years, enterprises in industrial parks and industrial clusters have actively participated in social welfare activities and created jobs for more than 100,000 workers, mainly local laborers, thereby contributing significantly to the province’s socio-economic development. In the future, the province will continue to create the most favorable conditions for enterprises through administrative procedure reforms and improvement of state management capacity. Recently, from December 24 to December 26, Long Jiang Industrial Park coordinated with the Fire Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue Police Department of the Dong Thap Provincial Police to organize a training on firefighting and rescue for enterprises operating in Long Jiang Industrial Park.

Participants in the training are staff in charge of fire fighting and rescue of the following companies: Renaissance, Flexispot Smart Home Vietnam, Cousins Industrial Vietnam, Knitpassion, Balala Food, Bestway Vietnam Company, and Long Jiang Company.

Through the training sessions, employees of in Long Jiang Industrial Park were equipped with knowledge related to:

ü  Legal regulations on fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue directly related to the fire safety and rescue conditions of the facility; Responsibilities of individuals in fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue activities; Duties of the forces in fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue activities.

ü  Knowledge and skills in fire prevention, including: causes of fire, causes of fire incidents, and preventive measures; fire prevention in the use of electricity, fire, heat sources, and fire or heat-generating equipment and tools; fire prevention in the production, storage, transportation, and use of flammable and explosive goods; management, storage, and maintenance of fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue equipment; content and methods of fire prevention and firefighting inspections; features, operating procedures, and proper use of fire prevention and firefighting equipment.

Training of fire fighting

The organization of regular fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue and relief training provides many practical benefits. It helps enhance the awareness and skills of employees, enabling them to clearly understand fire and explosion risks in the workplace, the proper use of firefighting equipment, safe evacuation procedures, and timely response in case of incidents. This creates a force with knowledge and flexible reactions in all situations, not only complying with legal requirements but also contributing to improve safety and operational efficiency for the enterprise, to enhance its ability to respond and reduce risks.

On December 19, Long Jiang Company in coordination with Dong Thap Provincial Department of Industry and Trade and Hoa Phat Environmental Safety Engineering Co., Ltd., organized a chemical incident emergency response drill at Long Jiang Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd. in 2025.

In the drill, Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh, Head of the Industrial Management Division of Dong Thap Industry and Trade Department; Mr. Vo Cong Huy, Deputy General Director of Long Jiang Company with leaders of the operation team, safety officers, and staffs of clean and wastewater treatment plant, and specialized firefighting team of Long Jiang Industrial Park.

At this drill, the forces practiced a situation ‘chlorine gas pipeline leakage at the chlorine house’ of Long Jiang Company, with the following emergency response steps:

Step 1: Incident detection and alarm activation

Step 2: Rescue and initial incident handling

Step 3: Assembly of forces and task assignment

Step 4: Implementation of emergency response

Step 5: Decontamination, treatment at site, and sample collection for analysis

Step 6: Assembly of forces and reporting to company leadership

 “At the drill, the participating forces coordinated smoothly, demonstrating their proficiency in the use of emergency response equipment, chemical incident handling techniques, evacuation skills, and first-aid skills. The drill contributed to preventing and minimizing accidents related to chemical operations, environmental pollution, and damage to the company’s assets, equipment, and machinery.

At the end of the drill, Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh, Head of the Industrial Management Division of Dong Thap Industry and Trade Department, highly praised the sense of responsibility of  the emergency response forces, who actively coordinated with the drill scenario, contributing to the success of the exercise. Long Jiang Company arranged sufficient personnel and equipment to effectively fulfill the planned chemical incident emergency response drill. Members in the team competently performed situational handling skills and proficiently used chemical incident response equipment.
